Autumn news

Support Your Local Farm Shop!
We have lots of news to share with you as we haven’t updated for a considerable time.
It is rapidly approaching Christmas again and this year we hope you will support your local farm shop. At East Hill Pride Farm Shop we can offer a bespoke, locally produced Christmas just for you – something the large supermarkets can’t!
We have Free Range White or Bronze Turkeys traditionally hung for the ultimate festive flavour, dressed only 24hours before you collect guaranteeing a perfect bird for your table. You can collect them boxed complete with handy pop up timer, cooking instructions and delicious recipes for you to try with the left overs – if there are any leftovers!
Also available are Chicken and Ducks from Creedy Carver, our home reared Geese and home cured gammon and bacon. All our beef is home reared at our farm at East hill and the lamb and pork is sourced locally and processed through our own on farm abattoir.
We also have all the trimmings! Pork chipolatas, traditional pork sausages and pigs in blankets YUMMY!! Local potatoes, eggs and vegetables are all here along with Cynthia’s delicious homemade pickles, chutneys and jams – made from our own fruit here at East Hill Pride! Alongside locally produced beers, ciders and wine from Devon’s own Old Walls vineyard we can offer Rose, White and Sparkling wine from Sidmouth winery. As you can see – plenty of food and drink to make your special day a local day.
From 1 December Christmas Trees will be available at the shop, travelling a short way from Dunkeswell to us for competitive prices – looking even better than their Norwegian cousins…
2017 brought us the good news that we have planning permission to have a Pine Cabin holiday let on site which will take full advantage of our breath taking views. Full details and prices will be available in the New Year. This year we also installed new state of the art toilet facilities and we are proud to have achieved, yet again, a maximum score of 5 from the East Devon District Council Public Health Department.
We are pleased to be hosting Christmas Sunday Lunches on 3rd, 10th and 17th December with prime beef and turkey available alongside the usual freshly prepared vegetables. Cynthia will be busy preparing delicious homemade desserts including her famous Christmas Pudding drenched in cherry brandy and topped with fresh Devon Cream – The calories are free!!!
A very Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
